Week 01 - Gathering the Reference and Concepting

This week was dedicated to gathering reference and carving out some rough concepts before I got into the block out. 


I tried to gather reference of the Shimada bros in overwatch and also characters sculpted in the Overwatch style that had longer hair so I had an idea of what to expect/practice when I got to Hades' hair. 

Next up on my schedule is the blockout, which I'll have done this week and then begin sculpting the highpoly. This piece is also for capstone, so it's on a fast track to completion. Once I'm a bit further in the sculpting phase I'll do a draw over or two, as well as color keys, to further refine the concept itself before I get into the texturing phase.
